Volunteer

EVEN BETTER! Many good things are happening at Camp Wartburg! From new cabins and air-conditioning to exciting new summer camp sessions and winter retreats, we're working hard to make Camp Wartburg a place that you, your family, your church and school group will enjoy again and again for many years to come. But that takes resources, time, talents and money - and you can help! Volunteers are always needed...to help build and spruce up our beautiful camp, assist with day to day camp operations (especially in the summer), pitch in at fund-raising events, and help spread the word about Camp Wartburg.

Stretch Your Contributions

Thrivent Financial members (benefit and associate) age 16 or older are eligible to participate in the GivingPlus Program. Thrivent Financial will contribute $1 for every $2 donated by members to eligible and enrolled Lutheran organizations, based on the following guidelines:

Members can donate to two different eligible and enrolled organizations of their choice each year, and have their donations supplemented by Thrivent Financial.
Member donations can be for any amount, up to $600 for each organization per year.
Thrivent Financial will contribute $1 for every $2 donated, up to a maximum supplement of $300 per organization, per year.
Members can donate whenever they like (e.g., monthly, quarterly, etc.). Each time, the supplemental dollars will be provided once the paperwork is received and processed. Remember Camp Wartburg in your will or as a life insurance beneficiary.

Continue your support for future generations!

There are different ways to make gifts to charitable organizations through your will, with varying tax consequences depending on the method you choose. The simplest approach is an outright bequest:

"I, (name), of (city, state, ZIP), give, devise and bequeath to Camp Wartburg, a program of Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois, (written amount or percentage of the estate of description of property) for its unrestricted use and purpose."
