Report from the Executive
Director
Dear Friend of Camp Wartburg:
What can I say? The past months have been some of the busiest ever at Camp Wartburg. So busy, in fact, we are late in getting SONLIGHT out to you. Staff and volunteers have been going the extra mile on projects and programs to meet the demands of our ever growing camp.
Obviously, our biggest project has been the new dining hall. With room to serve 190 people and plenty of meeting space, it is the crown jewel of Camp Wartburg. Everyone who arrives at camp is elated with the new building.
Another exciting project completed early this fall was the renovation of Thorburg Hall. It, too, is an impressive accomplishment. The old dining hall now houses all of the Campšs fulltime staff. There are five new sleeping rooms where the old kitchen used to be, allowing us to serve an additional 30 people.
Camp Wartburg has truly been blessed this past year. If you have the opportunity, I cordially invite you, your family and friends to stop by for a visit. As we enter into the holiest season of the year and look forward to the birth of our Savior, let me take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed holiday season.
Blessings,
John D. Mohl
Executive Director
