and Fun
Campers will let their imaginations run wild…within the structure provided by their counselor. Come build forts, dress up to enjoy a festive tea party, create sidewalk art, race cars, and more. Your only limit is your imagination.

Paintball
Do you enjoy the fast-paced adrenalinepumping adventure of paintball? Whether you’re new to the game or a qualified
commando, come and join us for a week of daily trips to play at Wacky Warriors in Millstadt. Campers will still experience all the fun of camp, learning teamwork on and off the field. Campers will receive a Wacky Warriors T-shirt!

Big Kid/Little Kid
This new experience appeals to those who might not be ready to come to camp on their own. It allows campers to bring a "significant other" - moms, dads, grandparents, or whoever - to partner up for an overnight stay. Fee includes both participants.

Colorado Rocks!
For those seeking the ultimate adventure, you'll head west on an alpine ecology trip that will test your limits. Campers will learn to climb and white water raft. Look down at the world from one of Colorado's mountain peaks. Learn firsthand about geology and wildlife you won't find in your back yard. Campers should be in good physical condition and willing to set their goals high.

Equestrian
If you want to learn to ride a horse, or improve your riding skills, you’ll say “giddy-yup” to this camp! In addition to activities at Camp Wartburg, you’ll horseback ride at a nearby riding center every day.

Never gone to camp before? First Discovery Camp is just for you - a great way to spend a few days at camp and learn what it's all about. You'll get extra attention so your first camp experience is a positive one.

First Discovery III
For the camper who is ready to spend the whole week at camp, but not quite ready for the off-site fun, this camp is for you. We will explore all of Camp Wartburg. Canoeing on the pond, creek walking and cooking a meal with s’mores over the fire are just some of the adventures you will get to experience during this fun-filled week.

Fishing
Do you have any good fishing stories to tell? Come to Camp Wartburg and create a couple of new ones. Learn how to bait, cast and use lures. After you catch the big ones, learn how to fillet and cook them. Bring along your own fishing gear. Campers will fish at Camp Wartburg and other ponds in the area.

Helping Hands
Part of "getting" is giving back. Campers will "get" all the excitement of camp, but will also "give back" to the community through service. Possible opportunities include serving at a local nursing home, assisting at a local resale shop or food pantry, a special project at Camp or helping people in need through some other project.

Higher Ground
Got a taste for high ropes and want to do more? Campers will work out extensively on the high ropes course, learn rappelling, go rock climbing and then visit other sites to achieve greater heights. Learn new skills, experience new courses, accept the challenge and join us on higher ground.

Higher Ground II
For those who have experienced the higher ground phenomenon, this is your next challenge. Learn how to belay, maybe go Australian style rappelling and get to spend more time on “God’s rocks”. Join “Hollywood” and “Kojak” (aka Fred Hasstedt and Michael Siebel) for more fun and a three-day extended trip to Giant City.

Mall Rats
"Calling all shoppers!" Whether you are a shop-a-holic or merely like to browse and window shop, four Westfield Malls will test your mettle. Share your shopping expertise with others. Stretch your dollars for maximum value. Campers will still enjoy a quality camp experience.

Missouri Quest
The wonders of Missouri await those seeking adventure! Canoeing the Current River and exploring southern MissouriÕs rich natural resources will make for a memorable trip.

Music Mania
Sing. Play. Create. Join Camp Counselors “Shaggy” and “Lilo” in
a week of music and mayhem. Increase your knowledge and compose your own music. Create a rhythm band out of
instruments you make yourself. If you’ve seen “Stomp,” you’ll get a chance to live it.

Native American
Learn more about the Native Americans through games, stories, and other activities. Canoe on the Kaskaskia and cook over an open fire while staying in our tree houses. A visit to Cahokia Mounds will enhance your week.

Night Owl

Painting Camp
Color the World of God! Learn the basics of painting under a skilled instructor. Camp will provide some of the tools of the trade. You provide the inspiration!

Live the way early settlers once lived. Learn pioneer crafts. Canoe on the Kaskaskia River. Cook many of your own meals over an open fire and stay in our rustic tree houses. Outdoor education is an important focus of this experience.

Shepherding Sheep - Servant Event
This camp is for people with disabilities - higher functioning young people and adults. These campers are encouraged to join us and experience the freedom and excitement of a week of summer camp. Volunteers are also sought to provide one-on-one companionship. Please contact Camp for further details.

Sketching
Come and bring out the artist that is in you. A skilled instructor will help introduce you to the wonders of Camp Wartburg. Camp will supply the sketch pad and other tools to make this week a memorable one.

Spelunking
Spluh-what? Spelunking is cave exploring, and Illinois Caverns is just a few miles from the camp. If you're not afraid of the dark, and like to get good and muddy, here's your chance to learn about caves and have some exciting stories to tell your family and friends. You'll need to bring a hard hat, grubby clothes and sturdy footwear. And don't forget your flashlight and batteries!

Spelunking II
For the caving enthusiast, this camp is for you. We will travel to Meramec State Park and enjoy a week of cave exploration and the Meramec River.

Sports
If you like to play sports, here's the place where you can learn a wide range of individual and team sports like soccer, volleyball, softball and swimming. Included in this sporty camp is an exciting evening at a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game!

Survival

Theater Arts
Do you like to "ham" it up before a crowd, or express your faith in different ways? Theater Arts campers will learn more about acting, set design, makeup, clowning, costumes and dance. Then it's off to the Muny for a special field trip. At the Friday Night Festival, you'll share what you learned.

Wacky Water Week
Water, water everywhere... Fun activities of every shape and size will take place all over camp. Stay cool in the pool, walk the creek, or play a variety of water games. A visit to Splash City Water Park in Collinsville will keep everybody wet.

Wonders of Wartburg (WOW)
Have you ever wanted to try every outdoor activity out there? Well, now you can at Camp Wartburg. We'll go caving, horseback riding and canoeing. All in the same week! These special activities, along with all the other fun camp stuff will make for a great week of wonder.
