2008 Summer Camps

How far can you go? Camp Wartburg’s high ropes course offers participants the chance to push themselves, overcome fears and venture forth in faith...all 35 feet above the ground. Closer to the ground the low ropes course allows small groups to learn about each other and work as a team.

Summer Camp

At summer camp, children grades one through 12 explore God’s wondrous creation. We believe the experience of living, playing and overcoming challenges in a small group teaches children about cooperation, tolerance, leadership and self-esteem.

Camp Wartburg offers an extensive summer curriculum and encourages children to participate in activities that spark their interest such as caving, horseback riding, sketching, theatre arts and swimming.

Trip Camps

Exciting trip camps, such as backpacking in the Appalachian Mountains or canoeing on Missouri’s Current River, offer additional team building experiences. These trips are favorites among our teenage campers.

Out Door Education

Parochial and public school classes attend Camp Wartburg as an extension of their regular classroom studies. Single day or overnight experiences engage students in the hands-on study of animal habitats, watersheds, ecosystems and other topics. Discovering the amazing complexity of God’s world inspires us all to be good stewards.

Summer Day Camp

We realize that you are placing your most precious possession in our care...your child. The mission of Camp Wartburg is to provide an outdoor ministry where people can encounter God in His creation. Summer day camp will add fun and variety to your child’s summer. It will also provide personal and spiritual growth. Your child will be safe, active, and well cared for. We invite you to enroll your child in one or more of our weeks of summer camp, too.

Youth, Family and Adult Retreats

Youth and adult groups enhance their spiritual and physical lives through educational programs and innovative physical activities offered at Camp Wartburg. Team building, leadership skills and personal development are added benefits individuals take with them, after an inspiring retreat.
